Accessibility statement

A practice that describes its care as neuroaffirmative should have a website that is calm, clear and usable by everyone. This page says what we have done, what is still to do, and how to tell us when something does not work for you.

Statement date: 2026-10-18 · reviewed again before the clinic opens on 23 November 2026

The standard we follow

This website aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. It was built with that goal from the start, and checked with automated tools, keyboard-only navigation and screen readers before publication.

How the site is built

  • Plain structure: one heading per topic, short pages, a single main menu that never goes deeper than two levels, and a "skip to main content" link as the first item on every page.
  • Everything works with a keyboard: menus open with Enter or Space and close with Escape, and the focus is always visible.
  • Text and background colours meet at least a 4.5:1 contrast ratio; links are underlined, so they do not rely on colour alone.
  • Text can be enlarged to 200% and the layout adapts to narrow screens without losing content.
  • No animations, carousels, pop-ups, timers or moving content. Nothing plays automatically; the introduction video starts only when you press play, and has captions and a transcript (below).
  • Every informative image has a text description; decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
  • Plain language, British English, with telephone numbers and email addresses written in full.

Known limitations

  • The forms we send you are PDF files that can be filled in on screen or printed; if a PDF is difficult for you, tell us and we will find another way, for example by going through the questions together at your appointment.

The introduction video

The ninety-second video on the home page has no speech: music plays in the background and everything is written on screen. The same text is available as captions in the player (the CC button) and in the transcript below, with the time at which each part appears.
